Hanging around on a Saturday

I like being home. I've never really understood people that just treat their place as a docking station. I mean, you put a lot of effort into making your house a home - even if you don't realise it - so why not strive to enjoy it?
Anyhow, it's nice to have a free weekend, after being away for the last two. A chance to catch up on a few chores, and to generally reacquaint myself with the vegetable garden, the shed, and the telly.
As my mate Pete is fond of saying, it's good to be King.

  1. Hi. This isn't about this current post, but I've just seen a post you did about Andy Armstrong's 'Before I forget' album, where you commented on the 'lavish' cover art. I produced the artwork (using a photo taken by Evan Jones if memory serves me right) and Andy asked for a typographic treatment simulating the lyrics sheets I used to give him when we recorded jingles I wrote and produced - typed on an actual typewriter then inevitably fiddled with and changed with a pen during the session.

It was damned good album. Someone with taste stole my copy years ago.

  2. And a PS: If you see Andy, tell him 'Pink' says 'hello', and that he oughta check out Francis Cabrel singing 'Je t'aimais, je t'aime et je t'aimerais'.

  3. Allan, I passed on your greetings to Andy and he was chuffed to hear you'd said hello. If you send me your email address I can pass it on to Andy. Cheers.
